Doctorz offers an on-site assistant that helps you find the right type of doctor and shows you doctors you can book. This page explains what the assistant does, what it does not do, and how the text you type is handled.

1. What the assistant is

The assistant is a navigation and triage helper. You answer a few simple questions — or describe your problem in your own words — and it suggests which medical specialty may suit you and lists available doctors on Doctorz. It exists to help you reach the right doctor faster.

2. What the assistant is not

• It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a prescription.
• It does not tell you what illness you have or what medicine to take.
• It does not replace a consultation with a qualified, BMDC-registered doctor.

Any specialty it suggests is only a starting point. The final decision about which doctor to see is always yours, and any medical decision must come from a qualified doctor — see our Medical Disclaimer.

3. Not for emergencies

The assistant must never be used in an emergency. If you or someone else may be in danger, are seriously unwell, or are having thoughts of self-harm, stop and get help immediately: call the national emergency number 999, or go to the nearest hospital. If the assistant detects words suggesting a crisis, it will show a helpline instead of booking — but it is not a monitoring or rescue service and cannot guarantee detection.

4. How your text is handled

Most of the assistant works through simple buttons and uses only Doctorz's own data (specialties, doctors, locations and availability). When you choose to type your problem in your own words, that text may be processed by an automated system — which can include a third-party artificial-intelligence model — for a single, limited purpose: to match your words to a medical specialty.

• Before any text is sent for this matching, we remove obvious identifiers such as email addresses and phone numbers.
• We send the minimum needed to identify a specialty, and we cap the length of free text.
• The result is a specialty suggestion only — the assistant does not generate medical opinions about you.
• This processing is governed by our Privacy Policy and the Personal Data Protection Ordinance 2025. We do not use this text to build a clinical record or for advertising.

5. No guarantee of accuracy or availability

Specialty suggestions and doctor lists are provided on a best-effort basis. Matching may be imperfect, and doctor availability changes in real time, so a doctor shown as available may become unavailable by the time you book. Doctorz does not warrant that the assistant's output is complete, accurate, or suitable for your situation.

6. Your responsibility

By using the assistant you understand and accept the limits above. Always confirm anything important with a qualified doctor, and seek immediate medical care when your situation is urgent.
